Don’t you just hate it when people don’t indulge in your fears?
Take me for instance. I hate staying home alone…its just not what I do. Some people would rejoice when they were home alone because it means peace and quiet, but not me.
Here’s how it usually goes. Everyone leaves the house and I usually go all around the house looking in all the possible hiding places in the house trying to coax my dog to follow me in case I actually do find something. (No life sucking monsters have jumped out to eat me yet 😉 ) After that I turn on the TV’s volume as high as I can stand it and watch trying to block out the rest of the world.
So you think, that doesn’t sound too scary right?
Not so!
Every single time I’m home alone no matter HOW high I put the TV volume I still manage to hear a bump or a bang outside. Or even worse, sometimes I think I hear noises coming from upstairs. I get all freaked out and sit on the couch gripping the phone for dear life.
After everyone gets home I tell them about all the telltale signs that someone (or something) was in, or outside the house and they just roll their eyes and laugh……THIS IS NOT A LAUGHING MATTER! The boogeyman could be right outside our doors and we would never know!
But anyways………tell me that does not sound scary?!
So what do you think? Any ideas to drown out noises while I’m home by myself?
